Meet Miss Autumn
I am currently living in Queen Creek AZ. I have lived in Queen Creek for 11 years and moved out here from CA. I have a wonderful husband and four amazing children. I have my BA in Liberal Studies from Cal State San Bernardino. I taught 1st grade in CA until I started my family in 2003. Once my son was 2 years old, a group of 6 friends and I got together and started a COOP preschool. The 6 of us put together the curriculum, we researched the best that would fit our children. I fell in love with teaching this sweet age of kids. After 3 years of teaching in a COOP setting I started my own preschool out of my house and have been teaching for 4 years now. I taught my son and 2 daughters preschool classes and have loved every minute of it. This age the children love to learn and I have a fun time teaching it to them.
Maria Montessori, one of my educational heroes, once said, “Children are human beings to whom respect is due, superior to us by reason of their innocence and of the greater possibilities of their future.” I strongly believe in letting children be children, and am honored to be a part of this sacred time in their lives.
